Milecastle Housing
Milecastle Housing Limited is a not-for-profit housing association providing affordable social housing in the Tynedale area of Northumberland. It has a stock of just over 3,000 homes in the area supported by offices in Hexham, Haltwhistle and Prudhoe.
A rolling programme of planned maintenance helps to ensure the properties are maintained to the highest condition. All maintenance and repairs are carried out by an in-house team of skilled crafts people which include joiners, painters, plumbers and electricians. The company also has its own heating services division and is now carrying out full inspections of gas, oil and solid fuel boilers. It was recently selected to provide the same servicing arrangements to over 2000 properties owned by Castle Morpeth Borough Council. This is in addition to a negotiated agreement to provide servicing to NomadE5's 1250 gas appliances.
