Who we are

The launch of Isos Housing Group in October 2005 was the first stage of a growth strategy to create a regional housing association of the necessary capacity and quality to compete with the larger multi-regional and national registered providers (RPs).

And since its formation a great deal has been achieved. Founding partner Enterprise 5 merged with Nomad Homes to form NomadE5 and we have been recently joined by Castle Morpeth Housing (a newly created housing association following the stock transfer from Castle Morpeth District Council) both of which have greatly contributed towards our growth strategy. Along with joint founding member, Tynedale-based Milecastle Housing, we have a portfolio of knowledge, skills, expertise and resources we can justifiably be proud of.

Crucially, Isos Housing Group is now the lead partner in the newly formed Isos Developments Ltd. We are responsible for heading up any bids for obtaining government funding for ourselves and our partner organisations.

Our other new development company Next Level has been set up to develop commercially and generate profits which will be ploughed back in to the Group in order to subsidise the building of more affordable homes.

All of these changes will add a new dimension to our work - particularly in the areas of shared ownership and development - and brings us much closer to our aim of owning and managing 15-20,000 homes by 2014, making us the one of the largest, most cost effective and high performing RSL Groups in the North East.

Underpinning all of this is our commitment to our tenants to be a first class tenant-focused housing group excelling in the fields of regeneration, rural and supported housing.
