Case Study 1: The Manors, PrudhoeIsos' most recent development is an Extra Care Housing Scheme in Prudhoe called The Manors.
It was developed in partnership with Northumberland Care Trust and Northumberland County Council. The former Tynedale Council was also involved in its inception.
Residents live independently, but also have access to as much care and support as they require with a care team on site 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The Manors was built with £4.5million of Department of Health funding, and cost £6.5million to complete.
The development consists of 46 high-quality spacious one- and two-bedroom homes, with 34 for rent and 12 to buy on a shared ownership basis. A typical flat has two bedrooms, a large kitchen/living space, and a walk-in shower. The development also plays a role in the local community, with a restaurant open to the public and an internet café.
The scheme was officially opened by HRH The Princess Royal, who met residents in the impressive double-height lounge area of the building.
