Case Study 2: Mains Place, Morpeth

cs2Mains Place is one of several small infill developments built by Isos in recent years in this very popular market town. A high level of Right to Buy of Council-owned housing in the town has meant that vacancies of homes to rent are few and far between.

Young people are, as a result, forced to move away from the area where they were born and brought up when looking to set up home for the first time. Demand for new private housing has also meant that land values in Morpeth are very high.

Isos has skills in designing small cost-effective infill developments on difficult-to-develop sites. Also having good relations with local builders has enabled us to provide new low-cost homes for local people on small sites in the town centre. The designs of the schemes are very much in keeping with surrounding historic buildings.
