Case Study 3: Market Dock, South Shields

This is an exclusive riverside development of new housing for sale led by Tyne & Wear Development Corporation, where Isos was involved in building low-cost homes to meet local needs.

Close liaison between the main developers, Cussins Homes and Isos, meant that the properties offered to local people at affordable rents and shared ownership purchase are impossible to tell apart from those offered for high-value sale. The completed homes were quickly occupied, helping highlight the early success of the scheme.
