Why get involved?

Because we need you! You are important to how we deliver and develop our service.

We are committed to the genuine involvement of residents in:

• shaping the day-to-day delivery of services
• the ongoing review of policies and strategies
• our governance
• the development of new homes and services
• regeneration

You all have different needs, which is why we want residents from all communities and age ranges to get involved.

Can I be involved?

Yes! It's up to you how much time you want to give. You can be involved from your armchair at home or by attending meetings with other residents.

It costs you nothing

We help our residents to be involved by paying out-of-pocket expenses such as:

• childcare
• transport
• mileage

Resident involvement strategy

The strategy was developed by the residents' forum and the resident involvement team and is fully endorsed by the Isos board, which has pledged resources to support its delivery.

If you are concerned about how we manage your home and estate, community issues in your area, a modernisation or new-build scheme, come along to one of our Resident Forum Groups.
Alternatively why not join our Hot 100 panel, which we consult around four times a year via the post or email.

Former Castle Morpeth Housing:

We run several groups for our residents, including Road Shows to give our residents an opportunity to speak to us face to face about our services, Community Walkabouts to give you the chance to get out and about with officers and monitor the general state of your neighbourhoods, and the Tenants' Forum (read more here).

Please contact the resident involvement team if you are interested in coming to our events so we can include you in our session planning (ie number of chairs and biscuits!). We can tell you what to expect and send you some information about the group and what they have previously discussed and achieved.

You can also get involved through Northumberland County Council

Northumberland Tenants Voice is a group of tenants from the Local Authority and key Social Housing Partners, brought together to provide, for the first time in the County a multi-organisation tenants panel to consider strategic housing issues that impact on tenants. 

Their role will include responding to government and other consultation documents, discussing key themes which affect tenants, such as welfare reform and supporting the council in developing benchmarking strategies.
